U.S. Export Controls: The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) from a non-U.S. Perspective (incl. latest changes) – Two-Day Online Seminar

Invitation:

Strategic Trade Alliance now welcomes registrations for its renewed beginner-intermediate level training course “U.S. Export Controls: The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) from a non-U.S. Perspective.” Every part of the ITAR was amended on 6 Sep 2022. We will review all the ITAR amendments in addition to explaining ITAR with emphasis on requirements for non-US persons.

Why you should attend:

U.S. export control laws and regulations affect non-U.S. organizations. Simply handling or working with a U.S. item can result in a compliance burden (having the right export classifications, ensuring U.S. export authorizations are in place, screening business partners, installing appropriate access controls, etc.) In this intermediate course, we guide those familiar with U.S. export controls, or those who want to refresh their knowledge on the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Who should attend:

This beginner-intermediate level training course is specifically designed for compliance professionals and those in a similar role who aim to stay up-to-date with the ITAR requirements that apply to non-U.S. transactions.

What you will learn:

The course will cover multiple topics relevant for organizations outside the U.S. that are subject to the ITAR, including the U.S. regulatory framework, key ITAR concepts and definitions, tips regarding classification and licensing, essential steps to ensure an ITAR-compliant shipment, how to handle an ITAR violation, recent enforcement trends, and the latest regulatory amendments, including the latest U.S. Export Control Reform developments.

Course Objectives:

  • -Knowledge of the U.S. export control system;
  • Understanding key concepts and definitions of U.S. export controls;
  • Understanding extraterritorial enforcement of U.S. export controls;
  • Obtaining practical knowledge and insights to ensure a compliant shipment;
  • Recent trends in enforcement and compliance program guidelines.
  • Certification:

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the training event.
